Three Piedmont Heights restaurants are eligible for a special grant – Nakato, Smith's Olde Bar, and The Colonnade. 

The "Backing Historic Small Restaurants" grant helps with exterior and online presence and is presented by American Express, in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Congratulations to Rod Smith, the new head of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department! He and his family live right here in Piedmont Heights, and he's been with the fire department for more than 24 years.

Out of Place features new work by five Southeastern contemporary artists who explore human relationships to place using a range of media including ceramics, photography, paint, and colored pencil.
