The Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Monroe Drive Safe Streets Project on Wednesday, July 22, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at 1544 Piedmont Avenue NE. The project marks the beginning of construction on long-planned improvements to Monroe Drive between Piedmont Circle and 10th Street, including roadway resurfacing, pedestrian safety enhancements, and upgraded traffic signals.
