The firefighters at Station #29 have been protecting the residents of Piedmont Heights and surrounding neighborhoods since 1958. This historic building, designed by Fuller & Becket Architects, is a classic example of post-war, modern architecture featuring clean, no-frills lines, an efficient floor plan, and a flat roof. Built before air conditioning, the iron pipe grille in front originally had vines to provide additional shade.
