Piedmont Heights Walking Tour |
Atlanta beltline & Airline BelleThe Atlanta BeltLine is a modern repurposing of railroad lines that connect around the City of Atlanta. The Piedmont Heights section was serviced by the Airline Belle, a commuter train that ran 93 miles from Atlanta to Toccoa, in north Georgia. Even with 39 potential stops along the way, the journey took only three hours. After 52 years in service, the Airline Belle made its last run in July 1931. |
