APD Zone 2 Appreciation

Once again, we are planning to show our appreciation to the APD officers of Zone 2. We began this tradition ten years ago, and it continues because of your generosity.

We will be collecting donations from now until November 15, to purchase $25 Chik-Fil-A Gift Cards for each officer and a special gift for our Zone 2 Commander and Assistant Commander.

Each officer will receive a hand-addressed envelope with both the gift card and a note that includes the names of contributing individuals and neighborhoods.

Donation Options

1. Venmo (@susan-kanellos)

2. Checks - Payable to Susan Kanellos, 786 Piedmont Way NE, Atlanta, GA 30324

3. Other Options - If you wish to purchase Gift Cards directly, please contact Susan.

Please submit your donations by November 15, so that we have time to purchase and prepare the envelopes.

Thank you for your continued generosity and support for our APD Zone 2 staff and officers.

PiHi Security Patrol Meet & Greet

Major Singh recently met with residents on Flagler Avenue to discuss safety concerns, PiHi Security Patrol, and BeltLine safety.

After 31 years at APD, APD Chief Schierbaum assigned Major Tony Singh to the new position of Park Police Force Commander. His team of off-duty officers patrol all City of Atlanta parks.

Since 2002, Tony has patrolled our neighborhood and is our valuable resource for public safety in Piedmont Heights.

He and his team patrol in a mix of APD and unmarked vehicles. Patrols are approx. 10 hours per week and often during the late night and very early morning hours when the most crimes occur in the neighborhood.

If you're interested in hosting a casual meet & greet with Major Singh on your street, let us know – just reply to this email.
