Historic Millstone Found

Thanks to 11Alive's Jeff Hullinger for helping us spread the word about our exciting news!

Excavations behind Ansley Mall recently unearthed an original Mill Stone – most likely from Walker’s grist mill on Clear Creek back in the early 1800s. The BeltLine is working to save it so that it can be displayed as part of the history of our community. How cool is that?!

Throwback to the Royal Bagel

Speaking of round objects, someone on Jeff Hullinger's Facebook page commented that the mill stone looks a lot like an artifact from The Royal Bagel!

For over 20 years, The Royal Bagel was an Atlanta institution. When it opened in 1974, most locals didn’t know what a bagel was. When the doors closed for the final time in 1997, the bagel shop founded by Michael, Kenny, and Rose Yoss had been voted “Best of Atlanta” thirteen years running. Squeaky Clean for Summer!

No matter how busy you are, it's easy to get a sparkling clean home, thanks to the professionally trained cleaners at Ansley Home Cleaning.

Their customer service is FANTASTIC, and their cleaners are background checked, bonded, and insured. And they use Mrs. Meyers Clean Day products.
