Feedback for the BeltLine

Atlanta BeltLine Inc. would like to remind you of the Draft Subarea 6 Master Plans live and available for your review. We are accepting feedback from the community through June 30. Please find a copy of the presentation here.

As a longtime neighbor, Kristen Pollock has had the opportunity to help families in our community find their perfect home – whether they are first-time buyers, downsizing, or upsizing to a space that better fits their needs.

"I understand that making a move can be stressful, and my goal in every transaction is to be present for my clients and to break down the process and make things as easy and seamless as possible all while helping them to achieve the greatest value from their home."

If making a move is one of your goals for 2023, reach out so that we can make a plan together. @kristenpollockatl  |  kristenpollock.com

Historic Millstone Found

Excavations behind Ansley Mall this week unearthed an original Mill Stone – most likely from Walker’s grist mill on Clear Creek back in the early 1800s. The BeltLine is working to save it so that it can be displayed as part of the history of our community. How cool is that?!

APD Camera Network

Reminder that you can register your residential or business video cameras/security cameras with APD. Perfect if you have a Ring doorbell, Arlo camera, etc. Online registration of your camera does NOT allow APD to view a live feed, nor will it give them automatic access of your video footage. Online registration helps APD create a network of camera owners to whom they can push out requests for video when there's a specific geographical area of interest. The request will have the info they are looking for, as well as a link for the camera owner to upload videos. Getting evidence faster obviously makes identifying potential suspects more efficient.

As of April 13, 2023, all permitted projects approved by the arborist require a pre-construction inspection before beginning any construction activity. Section 158-106.

PRE-INSPECTION STEPS:

  1. Each final approved construction plan receives approval sticker from arborist plan reviewer (see below).
  2. Permit is issued.
  3. Tree protection fence is installed by developer/builder according to the approved arborist stamped plans.
  4. Applicant schedules inspection (404)-658-6800 per arborist approval guidelines. Pre-construction code: 513.
  5. Inspection is scheduled. Completed by field arborist within 2 business days.
  6. Inspection results in pass or fail. Failed inspections: corrections must be completed, and another inspection request should be submitted.
  7. Passed inspections: construction approved to begin.
