History Spotlight!

Mayson Chapel Baptist Church is nestled amidst industrial and office spaces in the Armour area. Founded in 1909 by Rev. George Gladson to serve the Black congregation in the Armour community, this church still holds weekly services. Learn more.

Another Shooting at the Allure Nightclub on Cheshire Bridge

On March 31, there was yet another shooting related to the Allure nightclub located at 2284 Cheshire Bridge – this time with 30+ rounds fired. We recognize that many of you have had enough of crime in and around our neighborhood.

So many PiHi streets have come up with different ways to get to know their closest neighbors even better!

A few ideas for you to consider – let us know if we can help you get started by providing some resources!

  • Host a happy hour for your street – maybe even combine with a donation drive for a good cause (Rockridge Place!)
  • Create printed street directories with a quick questionnaire (Pelham!)
  • Set up an email group just for neighbors on your street (Flagler!)
  • Stay connected with a Facebook group for your street (Wimbledon!)
