Happy 200th to PiHi
Did you know?! This year marks the 200th anniversary of Piedmont Heights! We'll be asking you, our residents, some questions as we celebrate our Bicentennial! Question for May – we'll post a few of the responses in an upcoming newsletter and more on the website, attributed to your first name and street. What has been one of the best changes to Piedmont Heights since you've lived here?

School Rezoning Discussions
The recommendation is in from the superintendent! The proposal is to keep Piedmont Heights in the Morningside Elementary building. Also proposed is to make the Inman building a new school for K-5, which would include students from Sherwood Forest and Ansley Park. The vote is yet to come. See the interactive map.
May 2 Board Meeting: First Read of Final Recommendations
June 6 Board Meeting: Approval of Final Recommendations Thanks to everyone who voiced your opinion during this process!

Alcohol License UpdatesAllure will be on next week's License Review Board (LRB) agenda starting at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3 for a due cause hearing at Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue, Committee Room No. 1, 2nd Floor. Our community’s presence matters, even though we aren't allowed to speak. We encourage neighbors to join with the Lindridge Martin Manor neighborhood and others at this hearing. Club Platinum, unfortunately, will not be on the LRB's May 3 agenda. We'll let you know as we learn more.

Public Safety RemindersThere was a car break-in on Flagler this week. Remember to practice the Clean Car Campaign! Don't leave anything visible in your car! Purses, loose change, car chargers, computers, work bags, gym bags, and weapons or firearms. If possible, don't even leave these items in your glove box or trunk! Check out more Safety FAQs, and PHCA Members can always contact our Security Patrol & Home Away Watch officers for assistance. Always call 911 first! Posting to NextDoor does not call the police, nor does it help our neighborhood receive additional patrols by APD – 911 calls do!
