Shooting at Loca Luna

Sunday night, a shootout occurred in the parking lot of Loca Luna nearby in Amsterdam Walk, with multiple cars damaged and one bullet striking a man in the leg. No suspects have been arrested yet. Alex Wan, our City Council Representative, is committed to revising the Alcohol Code. APD plans to increase patrols. And Halpern Enterprises, the landlord, will terminate Loca Luna's lease, move-out date TBD.

On Tuesday, the leadership at NPU-F (which includes Piedmont Heights) sent Mayor Dickens a list of reasons to deny the alcohol permit for Octopus Kitchen. We'll keep you updated as the situation unfolds.
