What's New in Piedmont Heights

Our neighborhood mascot, Kathleen the Cow, is so proud of the Georgia Bulldogs for beating Alabama's Crimson Tide to earn the National Championship trophy!

Upcoming Events

Monday, Jan. 17 – NPU-F Monthly Meeting. RSVP (Once annually, you must provide proof of residency/property ownership before noon the day of the meeting to vote, so go ahead and fill out their form)

Public Safety

Thanks to several APD officers for attending our January Piedmont Heights meeting.

There have been several recent incidents, including:

  • Shooting at the Shell gas station on Piedmont Circle/Piedmont Rd. Still under investigation.
  • Gun shots on Rock Springs Rd – no injuries. If you hear gunfire, call 911. If they can recover bullets or other evidence, it can be helpful. As well as any doorbell camera footage or similar video footage.
Now or in the future, if you have any relevant video footage, reach out to PHCA so that we can help you pass it on to APD.

Thank You, Jennifer Ide!

With hearts full of gratitude, we say THANK YOU to our former District 6 City Council Representative, Jennifer Ide!

She gifted $20,000 to PHCA to assist with a project that's long been in the works: neighborhood signage and landscaping at the Montgomery Ferry/Piedmont intersection.

As this project continues to unfold, we appreciate this generous gift to improve the safety of this intersection, as well as helping us welcome visitors to Piedmont Heights with signage!

Generosity on Fire!

Fire Station 29 is one of the recipients of a $150,000 anonymous donation to a group of Atlanta fire stations!

News from Councilmember Wan

With Alex Wan back at City Council representing PiHi and the rest of District 6, he's selected Lance Orchid as his Chief of Staff. Lance brings a much-welcomed continuity, as he served in the same role with our former Councilmember Ide.

You can reach Councilmember Wan at 404-330-6049 or awan@atlantaga.gov. Feel free to include PHCA on any neighborhood issues so that we can stay in the loop.

Be sure you're signed up for the District 6 email newsletter. Sign Up or Read the latest edition.

Redistricting Impacts PiHi

After the recent congressional redistricting process, Piedmont Heights has been moved from District 56 to District 57, represented by Stacey Evans, a Morningside resident.

Thanks to everyone who petitioned to keep Piedmont Heights under ONE representative. We appreciate everything Representative Mainor did when we were in her District 56.

Enjoy award-winning whiskey (plus gin, vodka, and more!) from ASW Distillery at their THREE tasting rooms in Piedmont Heights, The Battery Atlanta, and the West End.

Walk-ups welcome. Delicious tastings and artisan cocktails await!

PiHi Street Captains – Does Your Block Have a Street Captain?

PHCA's Street Captains (also known as "Ambassadors") are gracious volunteers who help PHCA distribute flyers and door hangers, as well as let us know when we have new neighbors to welcome with our New Homeowner Welcome Gift Bags. They help us stay informed about potential safety issues, and much more.

We're looking for volunteers to help with these streets currently missing a Street Captain. Let us know if you can help!

  • Flagler Ave
  • Gotham Way
  • Kilburn Drive
  • Lebanon Drive

Other streets have captains, but they're always happy to share the load with another Co-Captain!
